Atlantic Casting and Engineering Corporation was established by a group of engineers from the Curtiss-Wright Aeronautical Corporation in 1937.
In those early days, our plaster mold casting process supplied customers with non-ferrous castings of close tolerances, high integrity, intricate detail and smooth surfaces.
As World War II unfolded, we became a preferred supplier of castings used in aircraft (gyro housings, bomb latches, tail gun brackets, bearings and impellers, and other critical items). Following the WWII, we turned to manufacturing castings for a more varied customer base.
In 1963, we introduced Atlantic's patented planar mold investment casting process which continues today to produce economical, small complex parts. To meet demand for larger and more intricate parts, we added a new foundry in 1984 to produce traditional ceramic shell investment castings.
This foundry has become a highly automated operation serving all industries requiring close tolerance, high metallurgical integrity non-ferrous castings. In 1993, we dedicated a new facility for CNC machining and light assembly which has grown into a full service shop satisfying our customers’ requirements for finished products.
As we celebrate our seventh decade of quality service, Atlantic Casting and Engineering Corporation looks back in pride, knowing that our company alone has survived since those pre-war years – and knowing we will continue to thrive based on our persistent dedication to excellence. |
